There is just a little bit of this and a little bit of that in the sauce. I know that when I started cooking, an ingredients list that was more than three or four ingredients long had me scared.   • 2 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, trimmed
  • 1/2 tablespoon bacon fat
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • Cooking Time: approximately 2 hours on low or 1 hour on high, if your slow cooker does not cook evenly, you can either turn your insert or flip your chicken put each thigh on the opposite side of the insert halfway through the cooking time

  • Salt and pepper your chicken and brown on each side in the bacon fat in a skillet on the stove before transferring to your 2.5 quart or 4 quart slow cooker.

  • In a bowl, mix together garlic, onion, sugar, vinegar and broth.

  • Pour mixture over your chicken.

  • Cover and cook on low for approximately 2 hours or high for approximately 1 hour. (If your slow cooker does not cook evenly, you can either turn your insert or flip your chicken put each thigh on the opposite side of the insert halfway through the cooking time.)

  • Serve chicken with cooking juices.
