US Open Prize Money 2024 [Confirmed] - Perfect Tennis (2024)

The 2023 US Open prize money has topped $65 million for the first time, eclipsing the previous recording breaking $60 million in 2022.

The total prize money pool for 2023 stands at $65,000,020, the highest amount ever offered and an increase of 8.15% compared to 2023.

The champion in New York will receive a cheque for $3,000,000, 15.38% more than Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek received last year when they lifted the trophy engraved by Tiffany and Co.

The runner-up will also receive 15.38% more than in 2022, with $1,500,000 heading their way after the final.

For the remainder of the draw, the percentage increases are minor. For example, first-round losers bag $81,500, 1.88% more than in 2022.

Losers in qualifying can look forward to slightly higher increases should they not make the main draw; Q1 losers will receive $21,000, up 5.50% compared to twelve months ago.

In men’s and women’s doubles, the champions will each split a cheque for $700,000, up 1.74%, vs 2022.

Alongside the remuneration for playing, the US Open also covers a significant portion of players’ expenses.

This year, it’s jumped significantly (+81.05%), with players receiving travel vouchers worth $1000 and up to $600 per day for a hotel room. Food allowances have also increased, meaning players keep more prize money overall.

An effort was also made to provide greater assistance to all competitors from all events with the implementation of further player expense assistance. The 2023 US Open will see a significant increase in player per diem for all competitors; travel vouchers of $1,000 have been introduced, and all players will now receive either an additional hotel room, or see their hotel allotment doubled from $300 to $600 per day, if the player chooses to lodge at another accommodation. In addition, players will see an increase in meal allowance as well as racquet stringing for all players.
